Brick walls are probably among the most commonly used textures in CGI
So wouldn't it be convenient to have a brick texture that you could alter and modify according to your wish and that can potentially be turned into any type of bricks you want?

You'll get a .blend file showcasing the material on a spherical surface, note that you may need to make some alterations to the scale to make it look right after applying it on a different object, but can totally be fixed by altering the scale input values in the material node group. The file also contains an HDRI by polyhaven used for lighting the scene
Material too heavy on your Device?
Disconnect the normal and roughness socket in the bsdf, and change the displacement settings from "Displacement and bump" to "Displacement only", in all likelihood, your viewport should get significantly faster without much loss in quality
